This paper presents an approach towards the construction of a flexible, interactive, real-time, and 6DOF modeling and simulation environment in which a combination of MATLAB together with Simulink Toolboxes, Blocksets and facilities such as M-File Programming, Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) and 3-D Visualizations, Aerospace Blockset Toolbox, Dials and Gauges Toolbox, and Virtual Reality Toolbox (VR) is utilized. The principal intention in the development of the presented approach is to create a swift, productive and demonstrative modeling and simulation environment for a sounding rocket.
